Happy Valentines Day!! I hope everyones day is filled with love, laughter and beauty. My husband and have been so busy we had to move our celebration to February 25th! But I am still so grateful I get to celebrate this day of love with my man!
Design Dreams has been GROWING!! I have been working with a short term rental company, designing Airbnb’s left, right and center. I keep the turnover time to only 2 weeks! That’s right, I receive keys to an empty apartment and after just 2 weeks it is completed. Today I wanted to share how this works, for anyone out there who is looking to invest in a short-term rental property, I would say it is one of the best ways to make additional income. We are talking $30,000 to $75,000 every year, that is huge!!
When you are working with me… the budget to get you from a vacant property to a professionally designed, furnished and READY TO LIST airbnb is as follows…
1 Bed 1 Bath - $8,000
2 Bed 2 Bath - $9,000
3 Bed 3 Bath - $10,000 +
I don’t need to tell you, but of course the more you invest the higher your return will be and the cozier your spaces will be. That being said, with airbnbs you want simple, well designed, comfortable spaces for guests to enjoy and to leave you a great review. It’s a good idea to get creative with it as well, people LOVE themed airbnbs (FRIENDS) or instagram worthy spaces, they are going to be doing all the marketing for you!

5. Ordering Large Furnishings
6. Hand selection of all Decor
7. Orchestrating Deliveries
8. Furniture Assembly
9. Styling

I would definitely say that styling is my favourite part of my job, dressing and making beds, hanging up all the art work, placing all the faux greenery around the home and using accessories to make a statement in each room.
I would say so far I enjoy designing and styling the Airbnbs because I basically get the freedom to be creative and really showcase what I’m capable of and how I can work with whatever style the client wants to focus in on.
